About TLA

Transformational Leadership for Africa (TLA) is the brainchild of six different organisations: Leading Edge Business School (LEBS), Abuja; London Bridge Business School (LBBS), London; Africa Institute of Public Administration (AIPA), Ghana; the Win Institute for Gender Studies, Abuja and Northeastern University, USA. It is a novel idea that re-engineers the mindset of African leaders and equips them with the tools and technology needed to drive transformation in their spheres of influence.

We have come to a time where Africa can no longer afford to be backwards in the committee of nations. We have the talents and resources; it is high time we utilise what we have to make Africa the biggest economy in the world. We have no intention of retaliating or looking backwards. We are going to forget the past and look forward to the future (Jomo Kenyatta). Like Paul Kagame says, we are going to gather ourselves together in Africa and address our problems.

Our vision is to inspire a new future for Africa that truly works for everyone and places Africa among the superpowers in the world.

Our mission is to impact 1,000,000 African leaders with the techniques, tools and technology needed to drive transformation at all levels in Africa.

Our Core Values

Transformation

We believe that transformation lies at the heart of every solution that can ever be proffered to the problems of Africa. No real growth and development happen without transforming the people, governments and organisations. We have experienced the sheer power of sharing wisdom that yields results, and we want to take every African leader on this transformation journey.

Unity

We must unite now or perish. Africa is one continent, one people and one nation. The forces that unite us are intrinsic and greater than the superimposed influences that keep us apart (Kwame Nkrumah). There is no transformation without unity. We all have a part to play in Africa’s emergence as an economic, political and intellectual superpower, but the labour is sweeter, and the rewards are greater when we work together.

Progress

No matter what we have achieved, we can achieve more. No matter how well we have fared, we can fare better. We face neither East nor West; we face forward (Kwame Nkrumah).

Social responsibility

If real development is to take place, the people must be involved (Julius Nyerere). We encourage every African leader to be committed to social responsibility. To develop Africa, her talents must be developed.
